The first bench

A small atelier opens on rue du Mont in Geneva. Eleven watchmakers. One ambition — to build movements that outlive their owners.

1972

Caliber M-1

The first fully in-house movement. Free-sprung balance, hand-bevelled bridges, a 72-hour reserve. The architecture that still defines every MERIDIAN today.

2026

Reference 0001

The first of two hundred and fifty. Engraved with its number, signed by its maker, delivered in a walnut case. A century later, the bench is still small.
